Cute curly hair hairstyles??

I have below the shoulder,not too long, layered curly hair. It is extremely curly and I need to know some cute hairstyles to do before school and any tips on how to reduce frizz would be helpful. Please don't suggest a different hair cut or straightening my hair.

I have locks of great HUGE curly hair!!! and i mean it is a mess! but i found out very great and bouncing hair 'dos and tips that will help.

First don't part it down the middle. it brings weight to your face. And don't worry about the part to much, let it flow where ever!

Second, but blow dry your hair or comb it out!!!

Ouch! your practically tearing your hair!

Third. If you ever do a pony tail never get it straight and pull out all the little bumps. Cause in the morning you will have little dangling straight pieces randomly! EWW!

Third i recommend a very specially hair product called Marc Anthony's "Strictly curls" shampoo, conditioner, spray ext.

Every time those products run out buy a new one. Your hair likes and needs a new freshener once and a while! Remember: dint put to much product on though! If you have any questions more about your hair or anything find me!

i have layered %26amp; extremely curly hair too... to maintain the frizzyness i use Pantene Pro V shampoo %26amp; conditioner %26amp; after my shower when my hair is partially dry %26amp; already brushed out i use Pantene hair gel.. i put a little bit on my hands then evenly spread it throughout my hair.. once the gel is in %26amp; you have it the way you like it you have to let the gel dry... when its 100% dry you can crunch out the curls to get nice even, non frizzy, smooth, soft, wavy, curls.

okay well i am bored of hust a simple poney tail a half pony tail and my hair down. i need to learn new stuff. i wanna get side bangs but i'm scared that it wont look goog with curly hair. and my straightener broke, so if i did get side bangs would i be able to blow dry it or use a thick curling iron? or does curly hair and straight side bangs not look good? if i dont get side bangs what are other types of hir styles i could use? and how do you make a french braid?

I also have curly hair and i'm kind of in the same situation but this is what i do:

1. part it zig zagged or to the side instead of in the middle

2. wear cute head bands!

3. wear it half up half down 0r bobbi pinn you bangs pack and leave two pieces own

3. put it up in a bun :: pull your hair into a ponytail then bend over and find the center then put a hair elastic around about two inches of hair all the way around the bun

4. braid it in two braids so cute!

5. do a low ponytail off to one side and add a cute accessory like a barrette or a flower on that same side

Well honey I have curly hair too. I use mousse to keep it under control and frizz free. I usually use Suave or Tresemme. First right after i take a shower I dry my hair up a little and then apply the mousse. After that i scrunch it a little to create more dimmension to my hair. Then I let it dry. My hair is probably a little longer than yours so it probably takes longer to dry. After its dry I seperate a piece of my hair and get it out of the way. Then i pony tail the rest of my hair. Then when thats done i take a bobby pin and then that piece of hair i set aside i pull it back but let it poof up a little then just pin it. and thats really easy its very helpful for me in the summer becuase it keeps my hair off my neck. i think it would look great on you. your a cute gurl you should give it a try

All you do it take a section of you hair in the front and put it to one side. then you straighten it and put the rest of your hair in a high pony. take the straightened piece and tuck it behind your ear and then gently pull the front part so it make that loop thing. put a cute clip at the ear and done!

- Avoid using harsh chemicals or straightening irons on your hair and the ends will stay healthy. Get your ends trimmed about 1/2 inch of every 2 months or so. If you get more than that your hair will never grow out. Keep in mind that curly hair shrinks and loses a couple inches of length as it dries. Curly hair grows out sloooowly. The long hair is worth the wait however.

- Read the book and visit the sites below about curly hair. I did and my once horrible curly hair is now virtually frizz-free ringlets. Now I get compliments on my hair all the time! Straighten your hair- be happy for a day, learn to manage your curly hair- be happy for life!

- To style your hair using the curly-girl method you will need gel, a leave in cream, and conditioner at the minimum. Some less useful, but still nice stuff would be a blowdryer, a diffuser (reduces frizz in curly/wavy hair when used with dryer), and a microfiber hair turban (to dry wet hair while sleeping or in the morning).

-The main philosophy of the curly-girl method is to not use shampoo. This may sound unhygenic but it has actually made my hair less oily and dandruffy. Most shampoos contain some of the same chemicals found in laundry detergent (sodium laureth sulfate, sodum lauryl sulfate, ammonium laureth sulfate, ammonium lauryl sulfate, etc.). They dry out curly hair. Also you shouldn't brush your curly hair dry because it damages the hair and makes it poof.

- Massaging of the scalp with conditioner to remove dirt is all that is needed. It will clean everything but super clingy silicones (cyclopentasiloxane and dimethicone are examples). Then rinse and spread conditioner on the outside layer of hair and the hair at the nape of your neck. Gently comb tangles out with your fingers or a wide toothed comb and rinse with cold/cool water.

- Do not brush/comb your hair after this point because it wil disturb the curl pattern (make sure you already have a part). It is also important to use gel on sopping wet hair and scrunch the hair with your fingers. Make sure gel is evenly distributed everywhere in your hair. If you use too much you can always scrunch out the crunchy texture later.

- Use paper towels or an old t-shirt to gently scrunch some of the water out (generic towels can make hair frizz). You can either let your hair air dry or wait ten minutes and then use a blowdryer with a diffuser. Dry until your hair is almost dry, and then let air dry the last bit. Do not touch the hair while it is air drying or it will frizz!

- Use a moisturizing conditioner, such as Desert Essence Organics Italian Red Grape Conditioner (found at health food/organic stores) or Activate Hydrating Conditioner (drugstore). The combo of products that I use daily is L'Oreal Out of Bed Weightless Texturizer (comes in a black-colored tub) and then Herbal Essences Totally Twisted Gel or Body Envy Gel, but there are more conditioners, gels, etc. on the websites. The products I recommended are my personal favorites and contain no silicones or drying alcohols.

- Your hair may seem worse at first, but it is just adjusting. This may take a couple weeks to begin working. Before you decide to quit shampoo, do a final cleanse with shampoo and stop the use of any products with silicones in them. Hope this helps!

I have curly hair, too. I have been trying to grow mine as well- what a slow process!! Persevere through the inevitable "awkward stages" and get regular trims. Talk to your doctor about vitamins because I know that things like prenatal vitamins are really good for skin and hair but may not be recommended for teens or people who aren't pregnant. Also, I use a de-frizzer after the shower to cut down on frizzy hair. Good luck!!

my hair was SOO short at one point, i even wore fauxhawks..and i straightened it alot when it was short, because when i let it curly, i looked like a poodle !

you should just cut it a tid bit, or instead of cutting the length, add some fun layers...so you can play with them and style them in fun / cool / different ways...

cause it still looks good curly, and a little volume to it, from the layers, and it looks good straight casue you can flip it out and stuff.

I put a little hair grease or oil in mine to tame it. What you do is part your hair down the middle and then put oil in it (coconut oil smells really good.) You can then part the sides of your hair and put oil on your scalp there too. Then put a little on your hair down to the tips... but NOT too much! Take your blow dryer and blow it straight. Now, take flat iron or a really hot curling iron and part your hair half up half down and first straighten the bottom half, then gradually take down hair and straighten it. My hair is straight as can be and feels and smells good!

Shampoo and condition your hair very well and brush with your wide toothed comb and/or brush. Make sure there are no knots!

Apply a small amount of conditioner and anti-frizz serum (anti-frizz serum is optional). Rub the products in very well until you can't see them in your hair anymore.

If your hair is naturally wavy let it air dry or blow dry your hair with a comb using anti-frizz serum.

Turn on the curling iron or curling irons that you plan to use.*

While the curling irons are warming up, separate your hair into three sections by pulling two sections to each side of your face leaving the third section to be the back.

Clip up two of the sections, leaving one down. Curl the first section, starting toward the back of your head and working your way to the front. When you put your hair in the curling iron it should look like a spring that is coiled around the curling iron. If you have two different sizes of curling irons use the larger one to curl the bottom layer of your hair and the smaller one to curl the top.

Spray that section with your hairspray and gently clip it away from the rest.

When you finish all of the sections, take out any clips or scrunchies you have holding the section and spray your hair all over with hairspray one more time.

Tips:

* Make sure you tussle your hair throughout the day to give it more body with a relaxed look to it yet it looks bouncy.

* don't make the curling iron go all the way up to your head or it will look too curly

* Use maximum hold hair spray to keep your style in all day.

you can get one at the dollar tree but you could also use curlers and that would make it look even better. and you can get those at the dollar tree and at walmart for real cheap but you gotta leave em in over night and that'll look awesome. hope it helped.

try using a inch or inch and a half curing iron. or if you have a flat iron you can use that to spiral curl your hair, i always use my flat iron to curl my it gives dimension to the curls and looks more natural. also use a thermal setting spray to set and protect your hair from the heat.. try thermal active spary by biolage or spritz n shine by catwalk they both work awesome.

Well first of all if you don't have at least naturally wavy hair, you can't get your hair like Miley's. But if you have naturally wavy/curly hair then you can use Garnier Moose. I use that and it works great! People ask where i get my hair done!
